About Dr. Prof. Dr. Mobin Khan
Prof. Dr. Mobin Khan, widely regarded as the Father of Hepatology in Bangladesh, was a legendary Liver Diseases and Medicine Specialist and Former Head of Hepatology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital, Dhaka. His academic qualifications included MBBS, MSC (Hepatology), FCPS (BD & PK), FRCP (Glasgow & Edinburgh), FACP (USA), FCCP (USA). He was an expert in treating liver, gallbladder, hepatitis, jaundice, and other liver-related diseases. His international training, extensive research, and clinical expertise helped shape the field of hepatology in Bangladesh. He passed away on 31 October 2024. Patients and medical professionals alike continue to honor his unparalleled contributions and legacy in liver medicine.
প্রফেসর ডা. মবিন খান ছিলেন একজন কিংবদন্তি হেপাটোলজিস্ট এবং বাংলাদেশের লিভার চিকিৎসার পথপ্রদর্শক। তিনি বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হাসপাতালের হেপাটোলজি বিভাগের প্রাক্তন অধ্যাপক ও প্রধান ছিলেন। তার শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা অন্তর্ভুক্ত MBBS, MSC (Hepatology), FCPS (বাংলাদেশ ও পাকিস্তান), FRCP (Glasgow & Edinburgh), FACP (USA), FCCP (USA)। প্রফেসর খান লিভার, গ্যলব্লাডার, হেপাটাইটিস, জন্ডিস এবং অন্যান্য লিভার সংক্রান্ত রোগের চিকিৎসায় বিশেষজ্ঞ ছিলেন। তার আন্তর্জাতিক প্রশিক্ষণ, বহু গবেষণা এবং ক্লিনিকাল অভিজ্ঞতা বাংলাদেশের হেপাটোলজি চিকিৎসায় নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করেছে। তিনি ৩১ অক্টোবর ২০২৪ তারিখে মৃত্যুবরণ করেছেন। ঢাকায় যারা লিভার বা মেডিসিন সমস্যায় ভুগেছেন, তারা তার অবদান ও চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতির জন্য চিরকাল স্মরণীয় রাখবেন।
